Call Before You Dig

We need your help in preventing damage to our pipelines. One of the most common causes of pipeline damage is when a third party digs, blasts or drills near a pipeline. If you plan to dig or do any type of excavation or construction work, federal and state law requires you to call your local state One-Call Center. An Enterprise Products representative will locate and mark the underground pipeline at no cost to you.
Call 811 before you:

The Plan Is Simple
- Call your State's One-Call Center at least two working days before excavation is scheduled to begin. Please note that some states may require 72 hours before excavation.
- Wait the required amount of time.
- One of our trained technicians will mark the location of the pipeline at no cost to you.
- Respect the pipeline markers.
- Dig with care when working near the tolerance zone.
PROTECTING THE PIPELINE
Safe excavation practices are key to a successful project and it is important to know that not all pipelines follow a straight line. Enterprise policy requires a Company representative be on site for all excavations that take place within 12 feet of a Company pipeline to ensure safety. The policy also requires hand digging when working within the tolerance zone.
